Gloucestershire County Council is proposing to reduce the existing 50mph speed limit on Valiant Way, between its junctions with the A417 and Delta Way to a 40mph speed limit. The scheme is being proposed primarily in association with the new roundabout that is due to be constructed at the northern end of Valiant Way. The access for a new development will feed directly onto Valiant Way within the extent of the current 50mph speed limit. The 40mph speed limit will ensure that vehicles are not approaching the new roundabout too quickly and will also improve road safety for residents and pedestrians in the new development.
