CHELTENHAM BOROUGH, GLOUCESTER CITY AND TEWKESBURY BOROUGH COUNCILS’ STRATEGIC PLAN CONSULTATION

Cheltenham Borough Council, Gloucester City Council and Tewkesbury Borough Council are working together to draw up the Strategic and Local Plan.

As well as establishing a vision for long term growth, the SLP will, once adopted, put forward policies to promote development where it is needed, and to protect our precious historic and natural environments.

The councils will be particularly interested in opinions on the following broad questions:
• How many new homes and jobs should we plan for and where should they go?
• What should be the role of the Green Belt?
• How can we address climate change?
• How can we protect and improve nature?
• What is special about the area that should be protected?
• What infrastructure, shops and services do we need?

For more information and to sign up for notifications about the SLP, and other planning policy consultations, visit strategiclocalplan.org or contact  info@strategiclocalplan.org.

Online workshops and in-person drop-in events are being held so residents and businesses can learn more about the Strategic and Local Plan (SLP), ask questions, and share ideas.

The nearest in person event is at the Churchdown GL3 Community Hub on 20th February 14:30 – 19:00
