Road closure for carriageway resurfacing – Lobleys Drive
12th -13th February from 0730 to 1730 daily

On behalf of Gloucestershire County Council, Amey will shortly be resurfacing the road at the above location.

To ensure the safety of road users and our workforce, it will be necessary for us to close the road because of the road width and machinery that will be used. The map below shows the extents of both the road closure and work areas.

We hope you understand that we will not be able to guarantee access for vehicles in or out of our work area (solid red line on map) except in emergencies. If you normally drive into or out of this area during the hours when the closure will be in place, we ask you to please make alternative arrangements. Please also avoid leaving parked vehicles on the road. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout.

The road closure area (dotted red line on map) extends beyond the work area to help us manage through-traffic, and a signed diversion will be in place. However we will do all we can to provide access for residents and businesses in the road closure area where it extends beyond the work area.

Thank you in advance for your patience and co-operation. If you have any queries please contact us on 08000 514514 or email GCCHighways@amey.co.uk.

      Information on Stagecoach website is:

      Disruption to Service 8
      Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th February 2018
between hours of 08:00 and 16:30

Due to essential resurfacing works, Lobleys Drive will be inaccessible from 08.00 – 16.30 for all vehicles crossing the M5 bridge to and from Coopers Edge during the above dates and times, resulting in the Service 8 re-routing from North Upton Lane onto Barnwood Road/Hucclecote Road, right onto Delta Way, then onto Hurricane Road where it will meet Lobleys Drive. It will then turn around and go inbound to Gloucester via Lobleys Drive, Hurricane Road, Delta Way, Hucclecote Road/Barnwood Road, left onto North Upton Lane, where it will rejoin it’s normal route back into Gloucester.

There will be an additional route in operation during the hours of disruption, and called the Service 8A operating from Gloucester City Centre to the Glevum Centre (Morrisons) to facilitate the whole of the Abbeymead Avenue corridor. This service will do a loop from Gloucester City Centre, along Metz Way, Abbeymead Avenue to Morrisons and then back along Abbeymead Avenue, Metz Way and into Gloucester.

Both the Service 8 and 8A will operate from Stand H, Market Parade in Gloucester, timetables will be available online and on board nearer to the date of disruption.
